The greatest turning point in her life was bagging the, Ram Gopal Verma directed movie Nishabd. Her popularity is highly attributed to her debut movie where she is paired against maestro, Amitabh Bachchan. After this movie Jiah Khan does not need any introduction to the Indian Movie audience. Jiah Khan has rocked Bollywood with her bold and stunning performance in the movie and her character in the movie has created a nation wide sensation.
Jiah Khan has a deep passion for singing and has received formal in classical opera. She began experimenting with music and was about to release her album. She recorded six pop numbers but ran out of finance and hence could not complete her project. Jiah Khan even knows to play piano. If this is not enough Jiah Khan has great dancing talent. For the last nine years Jiah Khan has been mastering different forms of dancing that includes belly dancing, lambada, salsa, jazz, reggae, kathak and samba. However she admits that acting is her favorite.

Before doing the movie Jiah Khan was not aware that Amithab Bachchan was a very famous bollywood icon. This ignorance helped her to perform her role in the movie with ease and confidence. Jiah Khan admitted that her training at the Lee Straisberg�s institute helped her cope up with kissing scenes. Three things that she learnt during the making of the film from the Amitabh bachchan himself was how to be patient, how to smell good and how to give disapproving looks.

Apart from acting in the movie Jiah Khan has sang one of the songs Take Lite for the movie. Jiah Khan has written the lyric for the song and has also composed the music for it. The song reflects Jiah�s character and her philosophy in life. To complete the matter Jiah Khan actually choreographed the song herself and introduced a little Shakira style hip shaking.

Miss. Jiah Khan has good knowledge about perfumes as prior to in the movies Jiah Khan spent some time in the perfume factory. This experience helped her to point out exactly the different brands of perfumes used daily by Amithab Bachchan during the make of the movie. She amazed everyone by her perfect knowledge about colognes. Ever since the release of Nishabd Jiah Khan is being flooded with very lucrative offers from the big ones from bollywood. But the actress has not decided on any of the offers as yet.

It is also rumored that Jiah Khan is actually the daughter of Tahir Hussain, father of Amir Khan. If this is true it makes Jiah Khan Amir�s stepsister. Though Tahir Hussain denies about having any such relationship with Jiah�s mother. But Tahir does admit that he and jiah�s mother were good friends.

The recently sizzling actress in bollywood Jiah Khan was born on February 20, 1988 in New York. Her mother Rabiya is an actress and Jiah Khan has been brought up single handedly by her. Jiah Khan later moved to London where she spent most of her days. Before coming to bollywood Jiah Khan completed her A levels in film studies and literature in London at the Lee Strasbergs Institute.

7th April, 2009: Jiah Khan, one of the latest discoveries of the Indian film Industry, has inked a deal with UTV for two of their upcoming films. UTV which has always believed in nurturing talent has complete confidence on Jiah Khan and her potential.

UTV Motion Pictures also clarified on industry rumors about Jiah Khan being dropped from Ken Gosh’s next film with UTV. Nupur Asthana (Screen play) & Kiran Kotriyal (Dialogue writer) who were earlier working on the story, were joined by Manurishi Chadda, the filmfare winner dialogue of Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. After coupling with Manurishi there were certain changes that were made in the film script, further to which Jiah Khan and UTV mutually agreed that the role scripted did not befit Jiah.

“With the changes they made on the script and the character, I myself felt that I do not suit the character. However, my relationship with UTV remains the same and they have signed me for two of their future films to be later this year” Jiah Khan

“Speculations in the industry about Jiah Khan being dropped out of Ken Ghosh’s project are completely erroneous. It was a mutual decision whereby Jiah opted out of the project seeing a misfit between the character and Jiah. Jiah Khan is a wonderful actor with some amazing talent.
