I expect very little and so I seldom get disappointed. But as an artiste I obviously want my films to do spectacularly well. I want the audience to appreciate all my films. I hope it becomes a hit and my hard work pays off. I have performed to the best of my ability, given my 100% so appreciation matters a lot.

The gorgeous, waif like Isha Sharvani who made her debut in Subhash Ghai's KISNA is all geared up for her forthcoming films and owes everything to her mentor Subhash Ghai. There's no particular 'dream role' lingering on her mind though she loved Julia Roberts in ERIN BROCKOVICH and Hema Malini in SHOLAY. In her opinion, one can transform the most mundane roles into a dream role. She loves music, animals and has been the head girl of her school. Over to the actress...

So she decided to be a dancer like her mother. She has performed in as many as 22 countries in last seven years. She is trained in gymnastics, martial arts, yoga, ballet, kathak, aerial dance and more. Mixing the elements of all these skills, Isha has, with her mother’s help, developed a unique style of dancing that leaves people awe-struck.

It was her dancing skills that brought her to the notice of filmmaker Subhash Ghai who offered her a befitting role in his movie Kisna.

Isha is open to both art and commercial cinema.

Isha Sharvani’s name literally means Goddess Parvati, or the one who is married to the God of dance, Shiva. When Isha was seven years old, she began training in dance under her danseuse mother Daksha Seth. While still very young, Isha had wanted to be a vet but she changed her ambition because she “cannot give injections to animals and cannot see them in pain”.

Isha Sharvani also featured in a Parle 'Hide and Seek' ad with Hrithik Roshan.

Isha Sharvani also dated cricketer Zaheer Khan, but is currently single.

Acting was never a conscious decision
I adore animals and I'm very passionate about music. As a kid I wanted to become a vet but I realized I couldn't study much. Moreover I can't see animals in pain. Injections, operation and everything associated to a vet really scares me. Next I got involved in dancing. My mom trained me and gradually I developed interest in dancing. I believe 'acting-dancing-singing' is an ideal combination for an all round entertainer. So acting was more like a natural progression for me.

Isha Sharvani made her Bollywood debut in Subhash Ghai's movie 'Kisna' opposite Vivek Oberoi. Her dancing skills and performance in the film was highly appreciated.

My mother (Daksha Seth) is Gujarati and my dad (Vissaro) is an Australian. He is a music composer while my mom is an excellent dancer. I have lived in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Orissa and Vrindavan. My mom has a beautiful ashram in Kerala with lots of trees, cats and dogs. I've grown up in Kerala, in a small place near the Vellani Lake. I've lived there for about 13-14 years. I've learnt many forms of dancing like Kalaripayattu, Kathak and Chau.

I play this very rich girl who gets kidnapped in the film. She is very bubbly and affable. She is more than happy about getting kidnapped. It becomes one mad house with loads of chaos and mayhem leading to funny situations. It's about these amateur kidnappers and uninvited guests who keep coming and the story mainly revolves around this incident. There are no songs in the film so it's an unusual step from my side. The film releases on 4th August.

Recently, Isha was spotted with Zaheer at the International Airport in Mumbai, as the Indian team returned from the South African tour. Isha even stepped inside the Indian cricket team van and was introduced by Zaheer as her girlfriend. The couple then drove off to Isha’s place.
ROCKY is a love story. I play Zayed Khan's love interest in the film. I play this college girl belonging to a middle class family who has no parents. Zayed and me are completely opposite in the film. We are likes poles apart and it's about how our relationship develops. It's a story of trials and tribulations, basically about the journey of a boy who cannot bear injustice, the problems he goes through, the people he meets etc so it's an action-cum-drama love story. It also has a subtle patriotic angle. The way people always crib about problems existing in India but never do anything about it. The film releases on 18th August.

The celebrated cricketers in the country and celebs from the film industry have been linked up for years now. The latest hot couple from the two fields are Isha Sharvani and ace pacer Zaheer Khan. Isha Sharvani has been dating Zaheer Khan for the past one year now.

Isha is 20 years old who lives at an ashram in Kerala, India. She is trained in gymnastics, martial arts, yoga, ballet, kathak, aerial dance etc. She started dancing at the age of seven and has already performed in 22 countries in the last seven years. Her mother is of Indian-origin, Daksha Seth, dancer by profession. Her dad is Australian, Vissaro, a composer by profession. She has been named by her mom (first name) and aunt (last name). "Isha" means goddess, and "sharwani" means Parvati = Goddess Parvati. She originally intended to a vet by profession, but couldn't bear the thought of injecting and hurting animals. She received an email from Subhash Ghai's office, who were looking for an actress with some knowledge of dancing, to act in Bollywood movies. She and her mom went to Bombay to visit Subhash Ghai, and an year later she was signed as the female lead in "Kisna" opposite Vivek Oberoi. There are already two other "Ishas", named Isha Koppikar, and Esha Deol in Bollywood.
