Deepika-Padukone
Deepika Padukone made her cinematic debut in Kannada film, Aishwarya in 2006. Her debut film in Bollywood was Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan. Deepika’s performance in Om Shanti Om brought her the Fimlfare Best Female Debut award.
Deepika Padukone was born to Ujjala and Prakash Padukone in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Deepika has modeled for several famous Indian brand names and hit the international scene withn Maybelline made her their new international spokesperson.
Deepika Padukone is currently in Lima, Peru shooting for Vogue's Latin-American edition as well as for Cosas. Yesterday she shot at the Presidential Palace and Inca ruins with celebrity photographer Mariana Garcia Burgos. She is the first Indian actress who will be the cover girl for these magazines. In the night, she attended the Fashion Week Peruvian Moda as the guest of honor at the invitation of Ms Mercedes Araos, Peruvian Minister for Tourism and Commerce.
Deepika memorised a few lines in Spanish, which she recited at the event, and had the crowds applauding and whistling for her. Deepika says, "I always up on any new place I travel to and familarise myself with a few words and the history about the place and the people. I love languages. I learnt French in college and picked up a few Spanish words after coming here and used them in my speech.
The actress was put up in the Presidential Suite of the Miraflores Park Hotel which has a pool on the deck and an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. The room (number 1002) Deepika was staying in, was formerly occupied by Bill Clinton, the Prime Ministers of Malaysia, New Zealand and Spain, rock group Duran Duran and by Tommy Hilfiger's family She gushes, "It's my first time to South America. The people very warm and hospitable."
The Miraflores Park Hotel in Lima is located in the MalĂ de la Reserva in an exclusive residential area. The hotel provides easy access for all that's best about Lima and is renowned for its beautiful setting with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. A particular feature of the Miraflores Park Hotel is its presidential floor.
The floor offers four presidential suites with a perfect combination of classic and modern style, which leisure and business executives alike can enjoy. Each suite offers a private bedroom, and dining area, the bath butler, jacuzzi and sauna in the bathroom and Three of the suites offer an outside terrace and a private plunge pool. In fact, her fondness for painting doesn't seem to leave the actress. Even during the shoot of Karthik Calling Karthik with Farhan Akhtar, Deepika ended up pursuing art once again.
"I think it's a to be able to paint on the sets. It made me realise that I need to take some time off and get back to doing certain things that I really enjoy," she adds. 
Surprisingly, my character in Love Aaj Kal is also into painting. I think Imtiaz has probably spied on me before coming up with this character as there are so many similarities."
However, the actress didn't know that the crew of the film would lap up her artworks.
"There was a canvas and paint on the set; in between shots, I would make something. It was something very random. For me, painting is a form of relaxation and it's de-stressing. Later on, I found out that certainof the crew took my work home and which now adorn their walls."
It's a bonus
Not many know that Deepika Padukone has a hidden talent. The actress admits that she's also into painting. During the shoot of Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal, Deepika ended up painting a couple of frescoes which have now made their way into the of the cast and crew of the film.
I'm loving it
Says Deepika, "I love painting. I remember during my school days, I would always get an A grade in art class."
She adds, "In fact, many of my would ask me to paint for them and then they would get good marks in class.
